Burj Dubai, recently re-named Burj Khalifa celebrated its opening today..crazy fireworks display!

On Monday, January 4, 2010, the Burj Dubai skyscraper tower will officially be the tallest building in the world. Sheik Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum and several Dubai rulers will officially open the tallest building in the world on Monday. The Burj Dubai skyscraper rises 168 stories high.
The definite height of the Dubai tower is unknown yet but it is estimated to be around 700m tall. The exact height of the Dubai Tower will be announced during its opening tonight in Dubai.
Despite the financial crisis being faced by the country, the rest of the business men and investors of Dubai are hopeful that the opening of the Burj Dubai will open opportunities for future investments and businesses. This multi-billion investment will help increase Dubai’s financial strength and lower debts from unpaid creditors.
The Burj Dubai skyscraper will include offices, apartments and posh hotels.
