If you’ve got an interest in the potential creative uses for empty urban space, The Good, The Bad and The Empty might be worth a watch. In it, Douglas Paulson, who is a teaching artist at the Center for Urban Pedagogy, works alongside students in an afterschool program in East Flatbush to investigate the “hidden uses, ownership patterns, and alternate futures” in the lots right near their school.

The film will be presented by the Center for Urban Pedagogy at the Anthology Film Archives at 7:30 on June 1st. The screening will be followed by a panel discussions with empty lot experts moderated by the documentary crew.

The event is free, but be sure to RSVP to info (at) anothercupdevelopment (dot) org.
